Only 12 weeks go to people! Although this pregnancy is flying by, it still feels like it will be a long time before we meet little Cox. I am constantly feeling her move now. Last night I just kept looking at my stomach because it was moving around. I love feeling her move in two or three different places at the same time now. She keeps poking me with something round on my right side and I think it may be her elbow. I can't decide what it is!:)
Even though Jeremiah and I have set up the nursery, I still feel a little anxious about baby stuff. We don't have anything besides her crib and dresser. I am fortunate to have great friends and family who are throwing us a few showers in February. Hopefully, we will get most of the stuff we need at those showers. It's just kind of overwhelming to think about all the stuff we need to take care of our little one.
Last week Jeremiah and I went to see our doctor. I had to get my 28 week blood tests done and everything came back normal. I was kind of getting annoyed because I hadn't been measured before we went to our appointment. Finally, they measured me for the first time. The doctor said everything looks great and I have gained the perfect amount of weight. Although, I feel like I have gained a ton of weight!:) Also, I had to get a shot because I have RH- blood. I'll probably have to get one after I deliver too.
Here are some pics of me at 28 weeks.

Over Christmas Break, I did alot of relaxing and hanging out with friends. It was nice to just chill out and not have to worry about school stuff. Jeremiah and I reorganized a few rooms in our house. Now, all of the things we wanted to get done before little Cox arrives are finished. Therefore, I wasn't too upset when I had to go back to school last week. Before break, one of my students said, "Mrs. Cox. You don't really look that pregnant." When I saw her after break she said, "Okay, now you look pregnant Mrs. Cox!" It was pretty cute!
This time of year is always stressful for me. After Christmas Break it is ISAT crunch time. If you are a teacher, you understand my stress. If not, it probably sounds silly to you that I am so stressed about the ISAT tests. Usually, I find myself being crabby to my class because I am so stressed. This year, I hope things will be different. Last week, I started to get upset with my class. Then I felt baby Cox kick me and I just smiled. I realize there are more important things to worry about then ISAT tests. So, I am just focusing on this little miracle inside of me instead. It's so hard to get upset or frustrated when I feel her moving in me.

Happy New Year!

Jeremiah and I had fun on New Year's Eve with some of our friends. We went out to dinner at The Great Impasta and then over to Celina and Jon's house. Since so many of our friends are pregnant or have kids, we rang in the New Year a little early. Then Jeremiah and I came home and watched the countdown. Here are some pictures of us on New Year's Eve. I believe I was almost 27 weeks in these pics.

After leaving Jeremiah's parents' house on December 27, we made our way back to Washington. Jeremiah and I attended Erica's wedding. I didn't take a picture with her, but she looked stunning. I really enjoyed talking and catching up with friends from high school.
A few weeks ago I posted a picture of my friend Jessica and me. We both have grown alot since that picture. Jessica just found out she is having a boy in May. I think she is the only person I know who is having a boy in the spring. Everyone else is having a girl. Jeremiah told her husband that their boy better stay away from our girl.:) Below is the second picture of Baby Uftring and Baby Cox. I also posted a picture of Jess, me, and our friend Abbey. Abbey had a baby girl in August. Her daughter is precious! Ab, Jess, and I went to grade school together and have been friends since then. It's fun for us to go through this stage together.

Less than 100 days!

Last night I woke up two different times because the baby kicked me so hard! It's such an incredible feeling. Jeremiah is able to feel her move alot now and we both laugh when we look and see my stomach moving up and down. I can't believe I am over 26 weeks pregnant. We will be entering our 3rd trimester soon. As you can see, I have posted a baby ticker on the side of the blog. We have less than 100 days. Wow. We are so excited for her to come!
On Christmas Eve I fell on some ice outside the grocery store. I called the doctor just to make sure everything was okay. She had me go to the labor and delivery unit to be monitored. So, I spent most of Christmas Eve in the hospital. I guess that when women fall on their backside it can tear the placenta. I have RH- blood, so they were scared that my blood would mix with our baby's blood. Praise God-everything is fine! I was able to listen to our baby's heartbeat for the entire 4 hours I was being monitored. She was moving around the entire time. The nurses had to keep coming in my room to move the monitors because she was moving around and they couldn't keep track of her heartbeat. They said it was a good sign of a healthy baby because she was so active.
Later on that night Jeremiah and I drove to Washington to celebrate Christmas with my family. We had a good time on Christmas Eve and then spent most of the day with them on Christmas. It was fun to be with my family. They gave us several books and clothes for our little girl. Christmas morning at my parents' house

After spending the day with my family we went to Jeremiah's parents' house in Decatur. We stayed there until the 27th. We haven't been with his entire family in a while, so it was great to spend time with everyone. Baby Cox received some clothes and socks for Christmas from Gigi, Pops, Aunt Beth, and her Johnson cousins. I love spending time with our nephews. Here is a picture of River and Gabe (The two youngest Johnson boys). It was really cute because Gabe came up and felt my stomach on Christmas night. He is excited to have a girl cousin.Jeremiah, River, and Gabe on Christmas night

The first summer we moved to Champaign I met Anne. We instantly became friends. So, Jeremiah and I were thrilled when Matt and Anne told us they were expecting a baby in April too! It's been fun to go through this together. We already decided that our babies are going to be best friends. I can't believe we haven't taken a picture of us pregnant before now. Below is a picture of us at a Christmas party. Notice that I am wearing the same shirt in this picture as the one from my previous post. I just don't have many shirts to fit my growing stomach!:) Anne at 22 weeks and Kortny at 25 weeks
