After leaving Jeremiah's parents' house on December 27, we made our way back to Washington. Jeremiah and I attended Erica's wedding. I didn't take a picture with her, but she looked stunning. I really enjoyed talking and catching up with friends from high school.
A few weeks ago I posted a picture of my friend Jessica and me. We both have grown alot since that picture. Jessica just found out she is having a boy in May. I think she is the only person I know who is having a boy in the spring. Everyone else is having a girl. Jeremiah told her husband that their boy better stay away from our girl.:) Below is the second picture of Baby Uftring and Baby Cox. I also posted a picture of Jess, me, and our friend Abbey. Abbey had a baby girl in August. Her daughter is precious! Ab, Jess, and I went to grade school together and have been friends since then. It's fun for us to go through this stage together.

Less than 100 days!

Last night I woke up two different times because the baby kicked me so hard! It's such an incredible feeling. Jeremiah is able to feel her move alot now and we both laugh when we look and see my stomach moving up and down. I can't believe I am over 26 weeks pregnant. We will be entering our 3rd trimester soon. As you can see, I have posted a baby ticker on the side of the blog. We have less than 100 days. Wow. We are so excited for her to come!
On Christmas Eve I fell on some ice outside the grocery store. I called the doctor just to make sure everything was okay. She had me go to the labor and delivery unit to be monitored. So, I spent most of Christmas Eve in the hospital. I guess that when women fall on their backside it can tear the placenta. I have RH- blood, so they were scared that my blood would mix with our baby's blood. Praise God-everything is fine! I was able to listen to our baby's heartbeat for the entire 4 hours I was being monitored. She was moving around the entire time. The nurses had to keep coming in my room to move the monitors because she was moving around and they couldn't keep track of her heartbeat. They said it was a good sign of a healthy baby because she was so active.
Later on that night Jeremiah and I drove to Washington to celebrate Christmas with my family. We had a good time on Christmas Eve and then spent most of the day with them on Christmas. It was fun to be with my family. They gave us several books and clothes for our little girl. Christmas morning at my parents' house

After spending the day with my family we went to Jeremiah's parents' house in Decatur. We stayed there until the 27th. We haven't been with his entire family in a while, so it was great to spend time with everyone. Baby Cox received some clothes and socks for Christmas from Gigi, Pops, Aunt Beth, and her Johnson cousins. I love spending time with our nephews. Here is a picture of River and Gabe (The two youngest Johnson boys). It was really cute because Gabe came up and felt my stomach on Christmas night. He is excited to have a girl cousin.Jeremiah, River, and Gabe on Christmas night

The first summer we moved to Champaign I met Anne. We instantly became friends. So, Jeremiah and I were thrilled when Matt and Anne told us they were expecting a baby in April too! It's been fun to go through this together. We already decided that our babies are going to be best friends. I can't believe we haven't taken a picture of us pregnant before now. Below is a picture of us at a Christmas party. Notice that I am wearing the same shirt in this picture as the one from my previous post. I just don't have many shirts to fit my growing stomach!:) Anne at 22 weeks and Kortny at 25 weeks

The staff at my school is telling everyone "not to drink the water" because there are so many of us that are pregnant. All of us are having girls too! Below I have listed a 24 week pic. of me. Also, I have posted a pic. of Cynthia, Nicci, and me. I'm excited that all 3 of us are having girls. Cynthia is due this month and Nicci is due in April.

More nursery updates

Today my parents came to Champaign. Jeremiah and my dad put glossy stripes on one wall in the nursery and then they put the crib together. I love the nursery! The wall color looks doesn't look great in pictures, but I really like it. The color is actually more brown and in the pictures it looks like it has an orange tint to it. My mom and dad bought our crib skirt and sheets for my Christmas present. They brought them today because I just couldn't wait until Christmas to see the sheets in the crib. Jeremiah and I bought pink and brown letters to hang up on the wall over the crib. However, we are not hanging them up until around the time the baby is born because we don't want people to know her name. :)
Yesterday, I asked my parents if they had any Dr. Seuss books that we could have. So, today they showed up with one of my old books and four brand new books they bought for us. Woohoo!
I feel very thankful to Jeremiah for spending two entire days working on the room. I also am very thankful to have such great parents who are willing to come and spend their entire Saturday painting and looking at baby stuff at different stores. Here are some pictures from today.

I made Kacy lay down and test out the baby mattress at the store!:)

23 weeks

Jeremiah and I are now 23 weeks. I can't believe we are so far along. It's very exciting!! This past weekend Jeremiah and I went up to Chicago and got a few things for the baby at IKEA. Then we went and registered at Target. We have now registered at Babies R' Us and Target. There are a few things that we haven't registered for yet, but we hope to do that soon.
Today, Jeremiah painted our baby's room!! I absolutely love it. When I came home from school Jeremiah had put together our bookcase, set up the lamp, moved the dresser, hung up a couple of frames, and hung up a pink Cardinal's banner. The Cardinal's banner is behind the door, but Jeremiah wanted to put it somewhere in the room.:) My parents are going to come down sometime soon to help us put a glossy finish on one of the walls in the room and set up the crib. They also ordered our bedding for my Christmas gift. I can't to see everything put together. I'm not going to post alot of pictures of the room until it is completely finished.
In addition to the painted room, I came home to another present. Our diaper bag came in today. It does have some pink on it, so I hope Jeremiah feels okay when he carries it.:)
Below I have included my 23 week pictures. I feel like my stomach has grown alot since my last post. Also, I have posted a few pictures of the room. Enjoy!

Jeremiah and I went to Springfield last week and registered at Babies R' Us. We still have to register for a few more things there and we are going to register at Target. Carol went crib shopping with us and bought us a beautiful white crib. My parents bought us the dresser that goes with the crib. The dresser is going to act as our changing table too. We are really excited and feel blessed to have such great parents! Jeremiah broke his wrist on Sunday, but he still says he wants to paint the room soon. He has to wear his splint for the next 5 weeks. We may wait until after Christmas to paint the room so that he can have two hands to work with instead of one. I'm very excited because we are going to paint the room brown and accent with pink.
I am now a little over 21 weeks. The baby is moving around so much! Once in a while I can actually see my stomach move when she kicks. It's so neat! Every time we go to church, she moves around like crazy! I think she likes hearing her dad sing and the vibrations of the music.:)
Below is a picture of me at 20 weeks. As you can see, my stomach has grown since my last picture. I can barely fit into any of my pants now. So I am thankful for the Bella Bands that a co-worker is letting me borrow!
